From Russia with Love

I thought Steve Jobs was committed to keep all apps clean… how did Apple allow Anna Chapman’s poker game to be sold for 99 cents?

And the current Russian government can’t be taken seriously: Anna the hot “spy” was awarded top state honour by President Medvedev in Kremlin!

But she did great for the new Maxim magazine cover… collector’s item haha

Rare and Foolish

Paul Krugman’s liberal bias is once again clouding the one and only obvious conclusion… and no no, developing new rare earth sources won’t solve the problem forever…

Talk alone won’t do much with a rogue economic superpower. As Iran and North Korea proved, you can’t reason with dictatorships.

What we need is a regime change in mainland China. Period.

Matsu Takako

Finally got a chance to finish the movie “Villon’s Wife” and I have to say Matsu Takako has matured into one amazing actress since her TV drama days (i.e. Long Vacation etc.)

The ending was not what I expected but it was still a great film.

I’m looking forward to her next film “Confessions” where she plays a dark and disturbing character. Rave review from film critics.

Monopoly time again

Monopoly is back at McDoanlds again… pay attention to the waistline of your friends in the next few weeks and you will certainly notice a difference haha

Just like Tim Horton’s roll-up-the-rim campaign, it is bound to cause some controversies. The latest being a man claiming to win $1 million due to a typo. This dude needs to get a life… why is it even on the news??

But after seeing these Flickr shots, I wonder if I should ever eat there again. Scary stuff:

Nobel Peace Prize

I never take the Nobel Peace Prize seriously… I mean just look at the past winners i.e. Arafat, Al Gore, Annan, El Baradei etc. Anybody would think highly of a Nobel Chemistry Laureate but the Peace Prize is usually a fucking joke.

After making complete fools of themselves by awarding Obama last year, the Norwegians made a bold choice yesterday and finally restored the prestige of the Nobel Peace Prize a bit (since Aung San Suu Kyi last won in 1991).

There is no way in hell Liu will be allowed to accept it in person. Let’s just hope he will still be alive when the bloody communist regime crumbles one day.

Ichiro Ozawa

Can you believe this guy?  Ichiro Ozawa just wouldn’t bow out gracefully… simply amazing.

After losing the DPJ leadership race to Kan and now an indictment, there is absolutely no way he will ever become Prime Minster of Japan. And yet, he would not give up.

Why would such a shadowy figure still have so many followers?  Japanese politics is odd.

This is the beginning of the end of DPJ and the return of the same old same old LDP. Sad indeed.

How did van Gogh become van Gogh?

Forget about the Art Institute this year. The place to visit is the National Art Center Tokyo, especially with the van Gogh exhibition from now till December.

And according to the website, the selected paintings will answer the question, “how did van Gogh become van Gogh?”

A fresh new start

October 5, 2010 1 comment

It has been one dreadful week year as a Liverpool supporter. Just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse… it did on Sunday: losing to Blackpool at Anfield was simply unforgivable!!

I’m hoping a win at Everton will signify a fresh new start for this season, just like this blog restarting on WordPress (Thanks Microsoft, you do know your limits).
