Photo of the week

Arsene Wegner
This is definitely the photo of the week… what happened when a manager got banished to the stands (for kicking a water bottle)!
Arsenal as a team sucks big time but at least they’ve got a colourful manager… not to mention he is a Frenchman hahaha
Please vote on caption choices:
1) What’s wrong with my red tie?
2) This is Old Trafford, you expect I can get a fucking seat??

Got to admire skills of the photographer… capturing the facial contrast between Wegner and the Man Utd fans (all laughing, and applauding) behind!

Dream Girl
I’ve been blogging semi-regularly for a few years now. And this is perhaps the most intriguing subject I’ve ever written (more so than Liverpool winning Champions League in Istanbul?)

My friend has been sharing some of the photos from his Flickr Dream Girl (FDG) since last year. I forgot how he found her page but I get these Flickr links from him once in a while, some very interesting, some quite fun, some do resonate (i.e. June 4th)…Camera
It’s amazing how much you get to know a person just by looking at photos taken by her, without actually knowing her.

I guess it was all just a dream for him. I can understand as I probably won’t be brave enough to speak with Yanzi myself!

But something magical did happen. A link from flickr, then another link to twitter, then another to Facebook… and more importantly, she noticed a line (he wrote ages ago and long forgotten) in his Facebook profile…

What a smart and witty girl… she wrote: "you are a die hard Flickrite and your dream girl is on flickr? doesn’t that sound like me? hahahhaha"Open-mouthed

As I was watching "Notting Hill" for the 30th time last week, and I notice this "dream" reference…
Anna Scott: Rita Hayworth used to say, "They go to bed with Gilda; they wake up with me."
William: Who’s Gilda?
Anna Scott: Her most famous part. Men went to bed with the dream; they didn’t like it when they would wake up with the reality. Do you feel that way?
William: You are lovelier this morning than you have ever been.

A level headed bloke falling in love with his dream girl, isn’t this the best romantic movie ever made?

Forgive me as I’m really thinking ahead of everybody here… but if this works out, it would be such a cool story to tell the grandchildren.
Or if FDG doesn’t wish to bear or adopt any children, it would still make a wonderful best man’s toast i.e. "To Flickr. To Twitter. To Facebook. Love blossoms when all 3 are used."Red heart

I heard they will meet in HK soon… the Moment of Truth indeed, or as MJ would’ve said: "This is it"

Good luck, CH & FDG.
Thanks for a lovely story, I promise I won’t sell it to CCTVB.

Monty Python
So, why do people celebrate birthdays?  It really means you are one step closer to death, isn’t it?
I was watching Gwyneth Paltrow’s "Sliding Doors" (how did such an accomplished actress end up in an action movie like "Iron Man"?) last night… a pretty neat movie, unique plot… but it was the Monty Python reference that clicked for me… hahahaha
Anyhoo, if you feel like killing someone (or yourself) one day, just click below and singalong!
And here is part of Graham Chapman’s funeral… I’m going to request this song to be sung by everybody at my funeral! Smile
